What is The Orange Medallion?
The Orange Medallion was created to recognise students who take initiative and turn ideas into meaningful work. Many young people build projects, design solutions, conduct research, or start initiatives, yet their efforts often go unnoticed outside their immediate circles. This award exists to acknowledge those students who go beyond the classroom and actively create, experiment, and contribute. The Orange Medallion celebrates work that reflects curiosity, innovation, leadership, and real-world impact, encouraging students to pursue ideas that make a difference.

“Recognition does not create excellence; it shines a light on the courage to attempt it.”
— The Orange Medallion Philosophy
What is our
Philosphy?
The Colour of Creation and Energy
Orange sits between red and yellow. Red represents action and courage, while yellow represents knowledge and curiosity. Together they symbolise the energy young creators bring when they turn ideas into real projects.
A Symbol of Achievement
For centuries, medallions have been used to recognise excellence in academics, sports, and leadership. The Orange Medallion continues this tradition by honouring students who take initiative and build something meaningful.
Celebrating Students Who Act on Ideas
Many students have ideas, but fewer take the step to create, experiment, or lead a project. The Orange Medallion exists to recognise students who move beyond ideas and turn them into action.
